Clearwater
Haven is an idyllic spot, in a private setting on lovely Clearwater
Lake in southern Muskoka. This three-bedroom cottage, only
about ninety minutes from the Toronto area, is great for all ages.
Facing west toward the sunset, a large deck wraps around the cottage
and opens to the cooling breezes from the lake. When needed, shade
can be found under the umbrella or beneath the trees that shelter
the corner of the deck. The patio set completes the picture and
will be perfect for el fresco dining or an early morning coffee.
Patio doors lead from the deck into a large open-concept area of the cottage where there is a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. This will quickly become a favourite spot to gather and relax, as the area is surrounded by windows that provide lots of light and wonderful views. The windows can be opened to allow in the breezes, while skylights above add extra sunlight.
The kitchen area is spacious and well equipped with dishwasher, full-size fridge and stove, microwave and plenty of counter space. The open-concept will allow the cook(s) to be part of the social scene in the rest of the room.
A second room beyond the sitting room provides a second option of living space. Here there is satellite television and a pull-out couch.
There are three bedrooms at this end of the cottage. The first has a queen-sized bed, the second a double, with the third holding a set of single bunks. Nearby is a four-piece bathroom.
The cottage property is well treed, with lots of areas for children to explore. Four steps lead off the deck to a path that slopes gently down to the lake where there is a twenty-five foot dock. A large sandy area on shore will provide entertainment for the little folk, while the entrance to the lake is shallow and the bottom is firm sand. Clearwater Lake has been ranked as one of the cleanest in Ontario, so swimming will be a treat! A canoe is provided for exploring the quiet lake.
