Come and enjoy this bright and inviting, comfortable three bedroom cottage on Bass Lake, in the heart of cottage country in Muskoka. Light floods through the cathedral windows on the open concept living/dining/kitchen area of the main floor. This space provides wonderful views of the lake, comfortable furniture, satellite television, table seating for eight, and additional seating on stools at the kitchen bar. The kitchen is fully equipped, complete with a dishwasher. A propane fireplace will add warmth and ambience on cool evenings.
With its south-west exposure, the deck off the living room will quickly become a favourite spot for that morning cup of coffee, or to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The master bedroom with a queen size bed features a large window affording a wonderful view of the lake. A four piece bathroom completes the main floor.
A few steps up from the main floor is the loft area, which also enjoys lake views through the cathedral windows. This area offers a pull-out bed and television. A convenient work area with desk and chair are included in this space.
A spacious family room on the lower level has access to the deck from sliding glass doors. Satellite television, VCR, DVD and CDs are provided for your entertainment, along with games, puzzles and cards.
A bedroom with bunk beds (double on the bottom and single on the top) is also on this level. A two-piece bathroom combined with laundry completes this level.
There is a newly-renovated guest cabin, great for a little privacy, with double bed, pull-out couch and a full bathroom.
A path leads from the deck to the waterfront. Wearing water shoes is the best way to enjoy the water and you can enter the water on either side of the 16 ft. x 8 ft. dock. The dock provides ample space to soak up the rays or tie up your boat. A boat launch is located five minutes away across from Bass Lake Restaurant. A ladder is also provided for getting in and out of the water from the dock. A fire pit is located near the water. For those in your group who like to fish, there are large and small mouth bass in the lake. Enjoy the sun on the dock all day, swim, or take the canoe out to explore the bays of Bass Lake.
Summer or winter, enjoy a lovely lunch or dinner at the popular Bass Lake Restaurant, only five minutes from the cottage. They are known for great food and atmosphere!
Winter is especially fabulous! The sunny, cozy ambience, comfortable seating and propane fireplace make this cottage a welcome retreat after a winter's day outside. Snowmobile trails are close by. Downhill skiing is only a 40 minute drive away at Moonstone. If you enjoy cross-country skiing, there are many ski areas locally.
At any time of year, there's something for everyone in your family to enjoy!
