This beautiful 2-storey cottage, located on Lake of Bays, is situated 5 minutes away from the village of Baysville. This light-filled cottage with magnificent views of Lake of Bays is the perfect location for rest and relaxation for bringing your family. With its sweeping vista of lawns and its gentle slope down to the water, you will be able to relax on one of the many deck chairs on the shore and dock.
As you enter this summer house you are greeted with a wide open spacious living area containing a family room, dining area and kitchen. The entire wall facing the lake has many glass doors which allows you to get a full view of the lakeside and surrounding trees. These glass doors were built to allow natural light to enter, giving the living room and the kitchen area a bright, relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.
On the main floor, the family room contains a sofa and television with satellite service. The adjoining dining area features a large pine table with seating for eight.
A full equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, a grand butchers block island and marble counter tops with lots of space for your chef to prepare gourmet food experiences.
To the right of the kitchen in a separate area, you will step into a gracious living room with a fireplace surrounded by comfortable sofa chairs.
Down the hall to the left of the family room you will find the bedrooms and studio. The first main floor bedroom features a queen size bed. The second bedroom offers a bunk bed, and a single bed. There is a three-piece bathroom in that area. In addition on that wing of the house there is a small studio with desk and pullout sofa with a lakeside view.
The second floor features a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a private bathroom. A second bedroom contains a queen size and a single bed. Another small but cozy bedroom is located next to the master bedroom with a single bed. On the second floor you walk out a door onto a patio/ breezeway where you can catch the sun.
A gentle slope leads from the home to the waterfront and dock. There is a firepit close to the water for roasting marshmallows. The waterfront features a broad wooden dock, where you can enjoy the waters of Lake of Bays and the stunning view of Muskoka’s nature.
For the boating enthusiast, Lake of Bays offers miles and miles of boating fun. If you bring your own motor boat, it can be launched at Baysville Marina, a short distance away and moored at the cottage dock.
Visit famous Robinson’s General Store, the scenic lookout tower in Dorset, and the beach in Dwight by car or boat. Explore world-renowned Algonquin Park, and browse antique shops in nearby Baysville and Dorset, or enjoy shopping, dining and live theatre in Bracebridge or Huntsville, a short drive away. For the golfer, there is a course on Bigwin Island (the largest island on the lake) as well as many other courses in the area.
