A two-storey 2200 sq ft timber frame cottage sits on private land on Lake of Bays near South Portage Marina. Recommended for an extraordinary family vacation, RockyView Cottage offers an open concept kitchen fully equipped with all the amenities required and an oak dining table for 8. Adjacent is the living room area nicely furnished with a set of sofas, a coffee table, a fireplace and a TV with satellite service.
The main floor also features 2 bedrooms and a 3-piece bathroom. One of the bedrooms contains a king size bed, a closet and a ceiling fan. The second bedroom offers 2 single beds and a closet and it is nicely decorated with large windows around the wall that allows natural light to enter lighting up the room and giving a wonderful feeling of comfort and relaxation.
A spiral pine landing stairway takes you to the second floor where the master bedroom is located. A king size bed and a large window with a perfect view to the lake decorates this bedroom. A walk-in closet can also be found which is connected to the bathroom with double shower, a bathtub and heated floor for the cold winter days.
The main entrance is connected to the garden where a stone table with 6 chairs and a portable Weber barbeque are situated ideally for a summer afternoon family time.
A small bridge links the garden and the wooden deck, taking you to the waterfront on Lake of Bays overlooking the fantastic view of Muskoka’s nature. This wonderful setting is ideal for an enjoyable swim.
This marvelous cottage is situated 5 minutes from Dwight beach by boat or 5 km walking distance, making it easy for you and your family to enjoy the beauty of Dwight from all perspectives.
For your comfort during your winter vacation at this stunning cottage, RockyView Cottage, is equipped with a computerized heating system as well as an automatic generator keeping the winter away and making you feel at home.
Visit famous Robinson’s General Store, the scenic lookout tower in Dorset, and the beach in Dwight by car or boat. Explore world-renowned Algonquin Park, and browse antique shops in nearby Baysville and Dorset, or enjoy lot's of shopping, dining and live theatre in Bracebridge or Huntsville, a short drive away. For the golfer, there is a course on Bigwin Island (the largest island on the lake) as well as many other courses in the area.
