Location: Four Mile Bay in Trout Lake, North
Bay, Ontario.
Cottage on the Narrows is located on popular Trout Lake in North
Bay, where hiking and biking trails, fishing, boating, snowshoeing,
cross country skiing and other activities abound. A very gradual
slope leads down to the lake where there is a sandy area, and a
sandy bottom with gradual entrance to the water. This clean pristine
lake will provide you with hours of enjoyment whether it's fishing,
boating or swimming. At the dock, you will find 150 feet of
shoreline, and a paddleboat and canoe awaiting you.
If you are interested in renting a
boat, The Outdoor Centre, at 705-495-4227, can accommodate
your request. The fishing in the area is very good and if you have
dreams of catching that big one, it could become a reality on Trout
Lake. An aluminium fishing boat with oars is available for fishing,
and you can bring or rent a motor up to 15 hp to attach to it.
The main cottage is open-concept with plenty of windows to give you
a spectacular view of the lake. There are sliding doors that go out
to a wraparound deck where you can enjoy relaxing anytime of the
day. Two bedrooms in the main cottage have a double bed in one and a
three quarter bed in the other. There is sleeping for four in the
two-bedroom bunkie.
All the comforts of home are found in this wonderful kitchen. Whip
up a gourmet meal at the centre island stove or use the convection
oven to create your favourite munchies. If you prefer to barbeque,
there is one available. Eat alfresco at the two
picnic tables located just outside the cottage. You will not have
to worry about dishpan hands, as there is a dishwasher for your
convenience.
This is an ideal family vacation spot because it is just north
enough to be perfect! If you are looking for a holiday without
television or telephone (owner's phone available for emergencies) or
spending some quality time playing board games and having fun in the
sun, this is the spot for you.
