Location: Lorimer Lake, 25 kilometres northeast of Parry Sound, Ontario.

Pristine air, silky water, a million-dollar view, beautiful woods and superb fishing. This spells heaven whether you’re looking for a relaxing or an active get-away.

This brand new four-season Viceroy-style cottage was built in 2006 on 35 acres of woods with 2,500 feet of lakefront on long, narrow and quiet Lorimer Lake. If you want luxury to please the ladies with the option of great fishing without roughing it, you’ve found the perfect spot. Great for open water or ice fishing, Lorimer Lake is stocked every two years with lake trout, and pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass are plentiful.

This open-concept living area with cathedral ceilings offers an unobstructed view of the lake through the floor to ceiling windows, whether you are in the fully functional kitchen, dining area or living room. On cooler evenings, picture snuggling up in front of the living room’s propane fireplace and watching satellite TV or a DVD.

The kitchen has plenty of counter and cupboard space plus completely new appliances. The oversized dining room table seats eight and the supplied barbeque makes for easy grilling. Located on the main floor are three bedrooms, two with queen-size beds and one with two sets of twin bunk beds. If you require extra beds, one of the living room sofas pulls out.

With its north-eastern exposure, the wrap-around deck provides shade and a relaxing spot to read or watch children at the waterfront. The dock provides ample space to soak up the rays or to tie up your boat. Small boats can be launched right at the property and for larger boats, the nearby Lorimer Lake Resort offers a boat launch.

Children will enjoy the gradual shallow entry into the water for paddling, jumping into deeper water off the dock or exploring the extensive property. The large unfinished downstairs space is fitted up with pre-loved furniture like a rec. room – only there’s a walk-out and huge windows overlooking the lake – perfect for teenagers or late night card games.

You can glimpse one other cottage on the point as well as one on an island, but if privacy is important to you, you won’t be disappointed with this secluded location.
