Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, this simple and comfortable three-bedroom bungalow offers all the features of a private and secluded island paradise combined with the convenience of a cottage on the shore. A short laneway connects the island to the mainland road, and the rock of Georgian Bay covers most of its one and a half acres. You will find beautiful shallow, sandy-bottom water perfect for younger children. A small beach facing the bay is a launching pad for your watercraft, and it also has a place for campfires.
A nice-size deck welcomes you and large sliding glass doors take you into the open-concept living/dining and kitchen area. There is lots of space for the variety of board games available and with no TV to distract you, you'll be able to perfect your techniques.
Another highlight of Turtle Cottage is the screened-in area in the center of the cottage. Here the morning sun will greet you on one side while you enjoy your coffee and the sunsets on the other while you barbeque a late evening dinner.
On one side of this center area, there are two bedrooms with a handy two-piece bath. On the other side are one bedroom and the open living and kitchen area along with a three-piece bath. The bedrooms offer a variety of sleeping with two sets of bunk beds, all singles and two double beds.
Close by are many area attractions including the Killbear Park with lots of hiking trails and Parry Sound less than thirty minutes away. You can rent canoes and kayaks at a branch of White Squall about 15 minutes from the cottage.
Follow the deer tracks in the sand at the edge of the shoreline. Sunbathe on the expanse of Georgian Bay rock. Enjoy a bonfire on the rock or in the sand area nearer the water. Or just relax with your favourite book under one of the pine trees.
An island paradise, a perfect family gathering, a secluded getaway!
