Gibson Bay Cottage, situated on two acres, offers an expansive western view and 200 ft. of frontage on Whitestone Lake. A gentle, grassy slope
leads to the water where the lake entrance is shallow,
and great for children. There's even a small 'island' a short
distance from shore for them to climb on.
From the moment you enter through the front door, you will
appreciate the bright, open concept of the main floor, and the
superb lake views. The living room has lots of comfortable seating,
satellite television, VCR, DVD and CD players. The dining area can
seat 8, and adjacent is a well-equipped kitchen. Sliding glass doors
provide access to a long deck, perfect for catching the summer
breezes, enjoying an afternoon cocktail, or barbequing.
Two bedrooms and a three-piece bathroom are located at one end of
the
cottage. One bedroom offers a queen size bed, and
the other has a double bed. At the other end of the cottage, is the
master
bedroom with a queen size bed, and lake
views. A second three-piece bathroom is situated nearby. Extra
sleeping
space with a double bed is available on the
lower level.
A recreation room, with access to the outside, is located on the
lower
level. Here you can relax in the two reclining
chairs, watch satellite television, and play cards or games.
Explore the lake in the paddleboat provided, and fish for
pickerel, large mouth bass or pike. If you bring
your own motor boat, it can be launched a short distance away, and
moored at
the 40ft. cottage dock where the water is
approximately 6 ft. deep at the end of the dock. For evening outdoor
entertainment, a fire pit awaits.
A short drive away is The Ridge at Manitou Golf Club which is a
semi-private golf course. Brochures and directions are available at
the cottage.
The Village of Dunchurch is just minutes away. The town of Parry
Sound is approximately 30-40 minutes drive for dining,
shopping, theatre and 30,000 Island Cruises.
