Location: Lake of Bays , Huntsville, Muskoka, Ontario.

Ideally Yours is a wonderful retreat with a large three-bedroom main cottage, a second self-contained four bedroom cabin, and a third cabin with additional sleeping space in two bedrooms. This cottage beckons the family gathering with its large living/dining area with stone fireplace in the main cottage, 16 by 16 foot screened Muskoka Room and wonderful lake views from each of the buildings. A tennis court, fabulous waterfront with multiple docks and shallow entry along with deep swimming areas, wonderful sunsets, and extensive, level woodlands for the children to explore or play a game of hide and seek will make this a place to return to year after year!

Located about twenty-five minutes from Huntsville and ten minutes from the community of Dwight, on Point Ideal on beautiful Lake of Bays, Ideally Yours is peaceful and private yet close enough to enjoy the amenities of town.

The heart of this retreat is the huge great room in the main cottage building. A floor to ceiling, stone fireplace will be the gathering point on any cooler nights. There is plenty of comfortable furniture and a view of the lake out the windows that line the walls. A television with satellite connection, DVD player and VCR along with board games, puzzles and books are provided for inclement weather. In one corner of the room the dining tables have seating for fourteen. A door leads to the kitchen where there is ample space for multiple cooks. The piece de resistance is the huge, walk-in refrigerator! A mudroom off the kitchen leads out to a patio with its morning sun and barbecue. A small bedroom with single bed runs off the mudroom area.

At the other end of the building are two more bedrooms. The master boasts a queen-sized bed, views of the lake and an ensuite two-piece bathroom. A second bedroom holds two single beds. Nearby is a second, four-piece bathroom with Jacuzzi tub.

A door from the Great Room exits into the spacious screened Muskoka room with its wicker furniture, good views and lake breezes. This is sure to become another favorite gathering spot. A pass-through window to the kitchen aids in entertainment and dining options.

The second building on the property has four additional bedrooms, one four-piece bathroom, a unique, old fashioned stove that contains a sink and refrigerator in the same unit, a coffee maker, a washer/dryer, and a living area with satellite television and VHS. The first bedroom in this cabin has a set of bunks; the second has a queen-sized bed, ceiling fan and lake view; the third bedroom has a set of bunks; and the fourth has a set of bunks, along with a single bed.

The third cottage building houses two more bedrooms, with a set of bunks and two singles in one and a queen bed in the other. There is a sliding door to a deck with lake views. A three-piece piece bathroom with shower makes the cabin complete.

Wooden steps lead down to the waterfront where there is a large covered boat slip where numerous boats may be moored. Haystack Bay Marina is close by, or a boat may be launched at Dwight Beach or Port Cunnington. The cottage comes with a canoe and lifejackets. There is a choice of a large shallow swimming for the non-swimmers, with a sandy beach and hard-packed sand bottom, or at the end of the dock the water is deep. Sunsets from the dock are fabulous, and the sun hits the dock throughout late morning and all afternoon.

For those who bring a motor boat, there are miles of boating adventures to be had on Lake of Bays. A boating day trip may be made to the village of Dorset for ice cream or to explore famous Robinson’s General Store. The village of Dwight offers a fabulous sandy beach and gift shops. Another destination on the lake is the village of Baysville with its antique shop, general store and coffee shop.

Algonquin Provincial Park is only about thirty minutes drive, and the town of Huntsville has a hospital, interesting shops and restaurants, groceries, a Pioneer Village and live theatre.

There is lots to keep everyone occupied at Ideally Yours!
