Location: Midlothian (Goose) Lake , Burks Falls, Near North, Ontario.
Located on Midlothian (Goose) Lake, this spacious 5-bedroom cottage is the perfect getaway. From the moment you arrive, you will appreciate the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The sun streams in the floor-to-ceiling windows of this open concept viceroy cottage, and the view is magnificent.
On the main level you will find an open, well-equipped kitchen and a large dining table with seating for up to12. The kitchen/dining area adjoins the living room where you will want to relax in the comfortable couches while watching a DVD or playing a board game.
Four of the bedrooms are located on the main level. Three of the bedrooms offer queen size beds while the fourth has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and single on top. A three-piece bathroom is also on this level.
The fifth bedroom with a bunk bed that has a double on the bottom and single on top, as well as a four-piece bathroom, are located on the lower level. Also on this level is a sitting area that has a television for watching a movie, or your own game system if you want to bring it along.
A long porch with wrap-around windows extends across the front of the cottage facing the lake. This provides great waterfront views and an area for everyone to gather to dine. The well-treed lot is attractive to wildlife so it is quite likely that a deer, beaver or maybe a mink will be spotted as you sit to enjoy a morning coffee.
Follow the grass and stone path down a gradual slope to the waterfront. Here you will find a small deck that has a built-in bench for sitting and relaxing. A long dock is also available for swimming from, or tying up your own boat. The cottage does have a paddleboat and canoe for getting out onto the water to do some exploring. Should you have some young ones in the group, they are able to access the water down a few steps. We do suggest they wear water shoes.
