Seabreeze Sunset Cottage is located on 1.4 acres along the beautiful Lake of Bays shoreline with prime, sought after western exposure. Lake of Bays takes its name from the curves of its shoreline which if straightened out would stretch 563 kiliometres (350 miles) making it the ideal body of water for the boating, canoeing, paddle board, windsurfer, and kayaking enthusiasts. You can boat to many resorts, lodges, and communities by water including Bigwin Island, Baysville, Dwight, Dorset(and the look-out tower), Port Cunnington, jumping rock cliffs in Rabbits Bay, the secluded beaches of Langsmaid Island, and endless other great places to go. Lake of Bays has pristine spring fed waters and are renowned for great clarity and sandy bottom making it great for swimming and fishing.
This charming three bedroom, one bathroom cottage is nestled among tall trees offering shade and privacy. From a picturesque and child friendly waterfront to a cosy family friendly living space, Seabreeze Sunset is the perfect place to get away and make family memories.
The cottage has three bedrooms: The master contains a king bed with a separate entrance to the cottage with windows offering a breathtaking morning and evening sunset view. The second bedroom is equipped with a bunk bed that has a double on the bottom and single on the top, while the third bedroom contains a single bed with a pullout single trundle. The four-piece washroom is easily accessible from all bedrooms in the cottage. The living room is the centerpiece of this lovely retreat offering comfortable seating for all, its charm accented by a beautiful old stone fireplace and wood interior. Curling up with a book or playing a round of cards while laughter fills the air is no hard task in this room as it was made for making memories and relaxing. There is also a flat-screen television in this space with a DVD player in case of a rainy cottage day.
The kitchen is located at the far end of the cottage, just beside the living room. It is equipped with a large counter offering a great amount of cooking and preparation space. The fridge and stove are located in the kitchen extension where there is a complete selection of kichenware for the cooking enthusiasts. There is a six-person dining table in the large kitchen where everyone can sit. The cottage is surrounded by windows that offer a view of the property and waterfront which also allows natural light to make its way in and bounce around the room. The windows open to allow a gentle breeze to run through the cottage.
The 400 sq ft deck off the front of the cottage is a great place for family relaxation, equipped with a gazebo containing a patio set with six chairs. Outdoor dining and morning coffees are best enjoyed in this space. The barbecue is also situated on the deck, making this a perfect spot to barbecue and enjoy conversation while watching the children play on the large property out front.
Just off the deck is a well shaded area covered with tall trees and gradually sloped stairs leading down to the waterfront. The property connects to a discreet waterfront trail that allows Seabreeze visitors to have shared access along a 2 km waterfront path(no vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles only)-this semi-private trail with waterfront view is a rarity in Muskoka Region where guests are able to walk a long path and explore. This space divides all cottages along the waterfront from the water and acts as a perfect divider for young children. Just eleven steps down to the water, a large dock extends out to a wider area where there are Muskoka chairs. The shoreline offers a gradual entry into sandy and clear waters. Lake of Bays is a beautiful lake with numerous possibilities. The water is about three-feet deep off the end of the dock, but for those who wish to enjoy a refreshing swim in deeper waters, a short wade out along the sandy lake bottom drops off offering a prime swimming spot.
Seabreeze Sunset is a short drive to the town of Dwight as well as Dorset, Ontario. These towns contain restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, bakeries and so much more all of which are accessible by either boat or car. Algonquin Park is also a short drive from the cottage giving cottagers many different options for day trips and adventures!
