This cozy little cottage located on Perry Lake is perfect for a family getaway. Perry Lake is known for excellent fishing with pike, large and smallmouth bass. For the explorer, travel by boat throughout the lakes adjoining Perry Lake – Hassard Lake, Beaver Lake and Little Beaver Lake.
The cottage itself boasts a bright and fresh kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals for the barbeque, including new appliances. There is also a kettle, blender, toaster and spare coffee maker provided. The water is not potable, so bring drinking water, or fill up some containers at the water spring down the road, which is renowned for clear, safe drinking water. In the kitchen/dining area there is a table with seating for up to five people.
The living room has lovely white wicker seating for up to four people, a good spot to curl up and talk about the adventures of the day. In the evenings turn the radio to some relaxing music while having a family games night or working on a puzzle.
There are two bedrooms on the main floor, one with a double bed and one with a queen bed. Upstairs in the loft there are two more bedrooms each with two single beds. The four-piece bathroom is also found on the main floor. The kitchen, and bedrooms on the main floor all have ceiling fans. The living room has a standing fan, and there are smaller fans for the loft bedrooms.
Out on the deck there is a barbeque as well as a patio table and chairs for dining or just relaxing with a book in the afternoon sun.
There is a small sandy beach and a good solid sandy bottom to about 5 or 6 feet out, and no weeds. The approach to the water is level and grassy. The fire pit is located just between the cottage and the beach area. Please note that a fire permit is absolutely necessary to have on hand when using the fire pit. These permits are free at the garbage dump, or you can pay for one at the grocery store in town.
There is no dock, and boats are not provided at this cottage. Boat rentals can be arranged at Canoe Algonquin in Kearney
