Location: Muskoka River, Near Bracebridge, Ontario

Vacationers looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life will enjoy this beautifully updated cottage located on the Muskoka River, near Bracebridge. This bright, traditional style cottage has vaulted ceilings clad with barn board that complements the large windows exposing the river view. Sun shines on the property all day providing ample opportunity to play yard games, swim or sun bathe. This peaceful area of the Muskoka River is the ideal spot for anyone seeking rest and relaxation. In the evenings, guests curl up in the comfy gazebo with a book to the sound of a crackling fire near the water to really enjoy your cottage experience. Even the family dog is welcome, as this cottage is dog friendly!

The three-bedroom cottage is all on one floor, ideal for young families looking to be together. There are two queen beds, and one king bed. There is also a four-piece washroom in the main cottage, and an outhouse located outside on the property (for those interested in a rustic and traditional cottage experience).

The open concept kitchen and living room area provides space for everyone. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, toaster, microwave, coffee maker and blender. Plenty of pots, pans and dishes are available for preparing family meals. The living room has plenty of seating, including a large harvest dining table. No television at this cottage provides the ultimate place to unplug and connect with family, or listen to music on the radio. For the rainy days, there are board games, poker chips and two small portable DVD players available with small screens that are helpful to entertain until the rain passes. There are extra chairs outside which can be moved anywhere on the property to suit everyone’s needs. This cottage is not equipped with a landline; however, cell service is available outside and on the dock (inside can be spotty).

A walk out onto the spacious deck affords a view of the beautiful river. On the deck is a barbeque, which faces the yard for watching children play while cooking meals. There is a large picnic table, a perfect place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The large grassy area extends to the waterfront and is excellent for any yard activities. There is a fire pit near the gazebo that faces the water. Everyone can gather around, sing songs or roast marshmallows. The fire wood located in the shed is completely off limits. Please purchase your firewood locally.

There is a 10 X 20 dock with a swim ladder that is perfect for sun bathing or swimming. The bottom can be mushy, so swimming off the dock is usually preferred. The river has a slow-moving current in the summer months, so it is safe for swimming. There is approximately 5km of waterway to explore before the rapids down river.
